Children’s daycare should not be a costly luxury for parents who need it. Working parents should not have to struggle without it or sacrifice quality care because of financial constraints. Childcare subsidies for eligible Maryland resident families pay for high-quality childcare and early education programs. The application process is relatively simple and quick. “Fast-track child scholarship applications” shorten the wait period to 3 business days. Eligible families can get help with childcare expenses almost immediately for 60 days while the application is processed. The stipend can offset about 75% of your child’s monthly tuition depending on income. Once approved, parents are free to choose the facility which they feel would best serve their child’s needs.

Scholarship grants are only available to those facilities which have a Maryland Excels quality rating. Tolstoy Preschool FDC has achieved such a rating. We are one of few Russian-speaking facilities who can receive State scholarship grants directly under this program.
